At a lonely seaside bar, suicidal car valet Geoff Osmah gets rolled by ex-Radio 2 raconteur Fraser Davis - a crime which sets in motion the endgame for ailing dj Pete Moran, whose health, art and wealth are crushed beneath a weight of circumstance he does not understand.
The Times Literary Supplement described David Milnes' writing as ´bleak but impressive'. You have in your hands the bleakest, most impressive and least compromising comedy you will read this year.
By the author of The Ghost of Neil Diamond.

What nasty people we are. I enjoyed reading this strange, yet strangely humorous book a lot. Why? Not sure because all the characters are pretty loathsome beings you'd steer clear of if you knew what was good for you, but that was possibly why I liked it so much. I've been told you have to make your characters likeable so they can get you on their side but such is the in depth characterisations of the personalities in this book you are driven to read on. I am always delighted to read this author, he is a shining nugget amongst a pile of indigestible writers out there today and am already looking forward to next novel. He were an unsigned footballer Chelsea would have snapped him up a long time ago.Product details
